SEF supports City-wide training for science leads

Practical science during Covid-19

SEF is pleased to fund CPD training for science leads across the City.

Science colleagues will benefit from a new virtual inset session covering the latest CLEAPSS guidance on how best to manage practical work during the COVID-19 pandemic. The course will reassure teachers that practical work in science is possible, as well as provide guidance for managing issues created by the pandemic.

Taking place on Monday, 21st September, and delivered via Zoom, the course is led by those who wrote and manage the CLEAPSS COVID-19 guidance, so it will also provide greater insight into the reasons underlying the latest guidance. The session will include time for participant questions. The course costs £250, for a maximum of 30 participants. This course is suitable for: Science departments;  Safety Officers from a Multi Academy Trust or Local Authority; Heads of Science from a Multi Academy Trust or Local Authority; and Technicians.

This collaborative approach to training is an excellent example of the effectiveness of SEF networks and the efficiency of the infrastructure across the City. For further information, please contact Euan Douglas, edouglas@stgcc.co.uk.
