Connectivity and Support Across Core Subject Networks
Tracking professional interactions in English, maths and science networks
In the summer term of 2018, Dr Chris Downey from the University of Southampton gathered information about how the core subject networks share and obtain information and support for themselves and for their departments. From the responses obtained, Dr Downey prepared a series of sociograms, demonstrating the frequency and nature of interactions. This year, the research will be repeated in an attempt to measure changes in the number of collaboration between members of the core subject networks, with a view to enabling joint practice development and subsequent raising of standards.
